ZJD Marine Consulting was created by Zachary Davonski, an ocean engineer with 7+ years of experience working in the aquaculture industry. His aquaculture focus began while he was completing his degrees in ocean engineering at the University of New Hampshire, with several projects, including his master’s thesis, pertaining to this field. Zach began interning with an offshore aquaculture company in 2016, opening the door to his involvement in industry. As the company sought permits for two of the first commercial-scale offshore fish farms in the U.S., Zach gained insight into the full breadth of the federal regulatory processes and experience navigating the rigorous design and planning effort of such an endeavor. He remains a crucial part of those ongoing projects. Zach grew up on the eastern end of Long Island, NY, spending countless hours on the water fishing and enjoying the rich marine life of his unique hometown.
